Tache 3/21/93 to 11/27/05

Leash for Life

What started out as a fundraising page for Tache has turned into one of her life. Although she was the biggest presence in my life for many years, she is bookended by Brittanys number one and three, Rusty and Blu respectively. This will continue to be Tache's page but links to Rusty and Blu's homepages deserve to be here as well. The role that animals play in our lives are imeasurable and have been studied and proven to have beneficial effects on both physical and mental health. The human animal bond is one of the strongest ever formed in life.

Updated 2/27

Over time, stories and pictures of Tache's life will grace the pages here. It is not a quick project, rather one that I can reflect on the 12.5 years we had together and share many of the pictures and adventures we found along the way.

When I first thought of this idea I thought I had really gone overboard but I talked to a Social Worker that I have an enormous amount respect for who also recently lost her dog. As it would happen, she is undertaking the same idea only on paper. So maybe I'm not as nuts as I thought!!!

Three Months

It is hard to believe it has been three months now. Today actually and I didn't even realize it as I typed in a poem that I had written back in October for Tache. Wow, three months. It really seems the time has creeped by and sometimes I still expect her to be here when I get home. Sometimes I get that brief thought when deciding to go out of what care she would have needed. It really is amazing to me that I have fared as well as I have but I still hurt and grieve in private.

I still have yet to post some of the stories. Some are already written and in a word document but the emotional tole working on these pages is something I need to moderate right now. I am still looking for our old pictures, they may be up in storage as I have few here. I'll keep working on these pages.

The information that used to appear here has been moved and "archived" if you will. This page was getting a bit long. If you would like to read the notices sent and posted regarding Tache's passing you may do so here.
