Innocence?

Awe, look at that face.

How could this baby be anything but an angel!!!

Such a lover and look, so well behaved sitting on her bed.

Look mom, I am so young yet I haven't even chewed on this nice pillow.

Now honestly, what trouble could I possibly be?

Looking at this picture makes me miss having a very young pup. Of course, thinking of the house training issues quickly zaps that thought. This was taken around the same time as the Mud Pup picture. Right behind where Tache is sitting would be Rusty's orthopaedic mat. Rusty was 13 by now and Tache the terror used to grab that mat with Rusty laying on it and try to pull it out from under her. Yes, the innocent little face you are looking at here could be so ornery with her elders!!! All in all, Tache was pretty good with Rusty, of course, Rusty taught Tache who was boss very quickly.

The dog bed that Tache is sitting on has quite the story behind it. Not long before this, Tache and I went to Long Beach, CA for the WWPSA industry trade show (I worked in pet supplies at this time). At only 4 months old, I remember I could still carry Tache on my left forearm without a problem. Well, at the Dogloo vendor they had these beds. They were the new release sort of thing and I fell in love with the pheasant bed. The industry rep of course fell in love with Tache and through a lot of talking and begging he agreed that I could have the bed. But, I had to have it shipped on one of our orders. Was a good thing, I could not have carried that thing along with all of Tache's other scores on the flight home.

Tache and I had a lot of fun at the industry trade show. Tache scored many, many cool new toys from many vendors. It was not uncommon to be asked to hang out a little while as she played with their various toys, most of the time she was able to keep them. When we flew home the agent tried to charge me a handling fee for an extra bag. I explained to her that the bag belonged to Tache and considering she had a ticket on the flight should be allowed a bag. I had to "prove" it and the agent got such a kick out of all the cool toys she let me check it with no additional charges!!! Tache was still very small, probably around 20 lbs tops, and flew in a 200 size kennel. Later flights she took were in the 300 kennel that is standard for Brittanys.
